Nephotettix species (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) on rice and weeds in Queensland

Abstract: Nephotettix malayanus Ishihara and Kawase was recorded on rice (Oryza sativa L.) and on Leersia hexandra Schwartz, while N. nigromaculatus (Motschulsky) was found only on L. hexandra. No Nephotettix spp. were found on Echinochloa colona L. These host associations differ from those reported in tropical Asia.
